Dedicated to the Hidden Life of Jesus

Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thusday Friday Saturday
The words of Padre Pio for this month are taken from the letters to his Spiritual Daughter, Annita Rodote. The letters are dated January 29, 1915 and February 6, 1915. As Padre Pio speaks to his spiritual daughter, let us take his words as spoken to us as well. 1
May your heart always be the Temple of Jesus.
2
May Jesus and Mary be with you always and all those souls who love him with pure hearts.
3
...your noble soul is acceptable to the Lord...
4
May Jesus be pleased to preserve you always in his holy grace.
5
(May Jesus) make you grow more and more abundantly in holy charity.
6
Left to my own devices, I can do nothing but sin...and sin again.
7
Thank Jesus for the strength he gave your soul in submitting itself to the divine will.
8
Always despise him (Satan) and arm yourself against him with increasing steadfastness and faith.
9
Don't let the many snares of the infernal beast frighten you.
10
Jesus will never permit you to be tricked and overcome.
11
Don't worry. Abandon yourself to the divine heart of Jesus and leave all your cares to Him.
12
Place yourself last among those who love the Lord, considering everybody to be better...
13
Be humble with others, since God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.
14
...always maintain the humility of our heavenly Mother...who declared herself the servant and handmaid of God.
15
Temptation is a sure sign that the soul is very pleasing to the Lord.
16
Accept everything (good and bad) with thanks.
17
Don't worry... the Lord will take care of everything and will make good what is imperfect.
18
How good the Lord is to ... those who have a true and sincere desire to please him in everything.
19
... recognize and adore the divine will in all the events of life
20
Often repeat the words: the will of God be done in heaven and on earth.
21
(God's will) will be your anchor and salvation
22
(Of the little ship of your spirit) Jesus is the helmsman and Mary is the star.
23
Everything is planned by Jesus for your sanctification, the confusion of the enemy and the glory of God.
24
Don't lose heart, Jesus is always at your side.
25
Abandon yourself to the divine Heart of Jesus, like a child in the arms of its mother.
26
Let your entire life be spent in resignation, prayer, work, humility and in rendering thanks to the good God.
27
Place yourself in the presence of God.. know that God is really there in the center of your soul...
28
Constantly try to grow in charity, which is the bond of Christian perfection

Praying the Month dedicated to the Hidden Life of Jesus

(The following prayer is an abbreviated form of the prayer Saint Francis of Assisi formulated as a meditation on the Our Father. Because it is the prayer that all Christians know, and that Jesus Himself offered as the way to approach the Father, let us try to pray the Our Father, in this form, every day this month. May the words of our Seraphic Father St. Francis help us to appreciate this prayer more deeply, and pray it with a greater trust in Divine Providence, as we invoke Padre Pio's intercession in our lives.)

Our Father most holy: Our Creator, Redeemer, Consoler, and Savior:

Who art in heaven: In the angels and the saints, enlightening them to know, for You, Lord, are light; inflaming them to love, for You, Lord, are love; dwelling in them and filling them with happiness, for You, Lord, are Supreme Good, ... from Whom all good comes without Whom there is no good.

Holy be Your Name: May knowledge of You become clearer in us that we may know the breadth of Your blessings, the length of Your promises, the height of Your majesty, the depth of Your judgments.

Your kingdom come: That You may rule in us through Your grace and enable us to come to You...

Your will be done on earth as in heaven: That we may love You with our whole heart by always thinking of You, with our whole soul by always desiring You, with our whole mind by always directing all our intentions to You, and by seeking Your glory in everything, with all our whole strength by exerting all our energies and affections of body and soul in the service of your love and of nothing else; and we may love our neighbor as ourselves by drawing them all to Your love with our whole strength, by rejoicing in the good of others as in our own, by suffering with others at their misfortunes, and by giving offense to no one.

Give us this day: in remembrance, understanding, and reverence of that love which our Lord Jesus Christ had for us and of those things that He said and did and suffered for us.

Our daily Bread: Your own beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Forgive us our trespasses: through Your ineffable mercy through the power of the passion of Your beloved Son and through the merits and intercession of the ever blessed Virgin and all Your elect.

As we forgive those who trespass against us: And what we do not completely forgive, make us, Lord, forgive completely that we may truly love our enemies because of You and we may fervently intercede for them before You, returning no evil for evil and we may strive to help everyone in You.

And lead us not into temptation: hidden or obvious, sudden or persistent.

But deliver us from evil: past, present, and to come. Amen.

(We remember Our Blessed Mother with the Salutations of Saint Francis of Assisi)

Hail, O Lady, holy Queen, Mary, holy Mother of God, who are the virgin made Church, chosen by the most Holy Father in heaven whom He consecrated with His most holy beloved Son and with the Holy Spirit the Paraclete, in whom there was and is all fullness of grace and every good.

Hail, His Palace!
Hail, His Tabernacle!
Hail, His Dwelling!
Hail, His Robe!
Hail, His Handmaid!
Hail, His Mother! ...

Prayer Entrusting Yourself to God:

Blessed are You, Lord, our God! You are God alone. To you, Almighty Father, through Christ, the Living One, in the Spirit who makes all things holy, be praise and honor and glory. I place my life in Your hands. Never let me be parted from you; Do with me as You please. Your will be done for ever. Amen.

To Padre Pio:

Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, my Spiritual Father and Guide, the thought of you fills my heart with joy and urges me to trust in God's goodness. Your words of strength and consolation re-echo in my heart and fill me peace. Be my powerful intercessor before the Father, Son and Holy Spirit that I may live in God's Will on earth, and come to share the joys of God's eternal home in heaven with God and all His angels and saints. Padre Pio, pray for me.
